NEWFELD  – Two men were killed in a one-car accident on Route 11 late Friday night.

The two were identified as Jonathan Seaman, 31, and Moses Gerry, 32, both of Limerick.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said speed was a factor in the accident, which occurred on a curve in the road.

The car went out of control and off the road, then hit two trees. The car then split in half, McCausland said, and both men were dead by the time police arrived at the site of the accident.
