LEBANON — A fire damaged four mobile homes and injured two homeowners and a firefighter Saturday, rescue officials said.

The fire was reported about 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Mobile Home Park, said Jason Cole, assistant chief of Lebanon’s rescue company. Cole said the mobile home park is adjacent to Salmon Falls Family Camping Resort, where a propane explosion last month injured several residents and damaged some mobile homes.

Cole said Saturday’s fire started in a mobile home at 9 Evergreen Lane. He said the cause hasn’t been determined yet.

Winds pushed the flames, threatening five other units, which were evacuated, Cole said. Three were eventually damaged: the unit at 10 Evergreen Lane had significant heat and fire damage, he said, another mobile home’s vinyl siding on one side was burned off and one had minor heat damage.

He said medical privacy rules prevented him from describing the injuries to the residents and the firefighter, but all three were treated at the scene and none required hospitalization. A number of firefighters also had to be cared for because of the heat, Cole said.

As of 5 p.m., he said, the fire was essentially out, but crews were still at the scene checking for hot spots to prevent flare-ups.
