FRYEBURG – Nate McCann hit a two-run double to cap a four-run fourth inning Wednesday, and Fryeburg Academy went on to a 5-3 victory against Gray-New Gloucester in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

With none out in the seventh, McCann caught a line drive in left field and doubled a runner off second to help preserve the win for the Raiders (5-6) against the Patriots (6-5).

OCEANSIDE 10, MT. VIEW 4: Anthony Campagnoli was 3 for 3 with three RBI to lead the Mariners (5-4) past the Mustangs (3-9) at Thorndike.

Ben Wallace added four hits and scored three runs for Oceanside.

FREEPORT 8, WELLS 5: Kaleb Farmer hit a two-run single during a three-run sixth inning as the Falcons (8-4) broke a 5-5 tie and beat the Warriors (6-5) at Wells.

Connor Dietrich had three singles, an RBI and two runs for Freeport.

Wells, led by Cole Boston with a two-run double, held a 4-3 lead in the first inning.

WINDHAM 10, NOBLE 3: Joe Francoeur hit an RBI triple, and the Eagles (8-2) took advantage of two wild pitches and three passed balls to down the Knights (4-6) at Windham.

Shawn Francoeur of Windham pitched six innings with four strikeouts.

Mason Della-Piana hit two singles and scored for Noble.

YORK 10, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Alex Mercurio and Zach Leal each drove in three runs as the Wildcats (3-9) handled the Seagulls (3-7) in six innings at York.

Mercurio and Adam Legg, who stole three bases, each had three hits; Leal ended with two.

York scored eight runs over the final three innings, including three in the sixth to end it.

Kendal Tatsak had two hits for Old Orchard.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, BOOTHBAY REGION 1: Kyle Fletcher hit two doubles and a single with four RBI to lead the Mustangs (2-8) over the Seahawks (0-10) at Boothbay Harbor.

Alex Curtis added two doubles and two runs.

Nate Colcord had a double and a run for Boothbay, which trailed 2-1 through four before Monmouth totaled five runs in the next two innings.

MARSHWOOD 14, NOBLE 2: Matt Scremin and Drew Hale each had three goals as the Hawks (9-1) handled the Knights (0-8) at North Berwick.

Colin Harrigan scored both goals and Alex Wiggins made 20 saves for Noble.

PORTLAND 7, CHEVERUS 2: Mike Fuller had two goals and Ryan Jurgelevich made 15 saves to lead the Bulldogs (4-6) over the Stags (6-3) at Portland.

Ben Allen and Jason Webster each had two assists for the Bulldogs.

Pat O’Hanlan and Tom Sullivan scored, and Colm Pusey stopped five shots for Cheverus.

DEERING 15, GORHAM 3: Anthony Verville and Matt Flaherty each had four goals and two assists to lead Deering (6-3) past Gorham (3-7) at Portland.

Flaherty also had 11 ground balls. Rick Murray added three goals and two assists, and Brett Harmon also scored three times for Deering.

WESTBROOK 14, WINDHAM 2: Austin Watts had five goals and two assists, and Alex Benson added three goals and one assist as the Blue Blazes (5-4) downed the Eagles (2-6) at Westbrook.

Nick Tremblay and Sam Carroll each had two goals and two assists, and Ben Grant also scored twice for Westbrook.

SCARBOROUGH 9, KENNEBUNK 6: Ryan Pallotta scored four goals, and John Wheeler added two goals and two assists to lead Scarborough (9-0) past the Rams (7-2) at Kennebunk.

Sean Foley and Harrison Hall each scored twice for the Rams.
