CAPE ELIZABETH – Connor Murphy pitched a three-hitter and Falmouth scored three runs in the fifth inning Wednesday to beat Cape Elizabeth 4-2 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Drew Proctor drove in a run on an infield single and Seamus Powers made it 3-2 on a blooper that scored two for Falmouth (11-1) in the fifth.

Andrew Emple scored Falmouth’s other run on a wild pitch in the seventh.

Donald Clark came home on a fielder’s choice in the third and Will LeBlond drove in Max Gore with a single in the fifth for Cape (6-7). 

LINCOLN ACADEMY 4, BELFAST 3: Jeff Cheney hit a two-run double and Andy Bartlett struck out nine over six innings as the Eagles (9-4-1) beat the Lions (5-9) at Belfast.

Dalton Leeman added a double and a run for Lincoln.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, BIDDEFORD 3: Cam Madden hit a two-run single during a three-run eighth inning as the Trojans (8-5) beat the Tigers (6-7) at Biddeford.

Jeff Gelinas hit a two-run homer in the first for Thornton.

Bob Cote struck out four over seven innings for Biddeford. He also had two hits. 

GREELY 2, YORK 1: Jordan Normandeau led off the bottom of the seventh with a shot that easily cleared the left-field fence, giving the Rangers (13-1) a walk-off victory against York (4-10) at Cumberland.

Mike Leeman scored on Pete Stauber’s grounder for a 1-0 Greely lead in the first, but Derek Neal singled home Zachary Leal to tie it in the fourth.

Bailey Train of Greely struck out 13 in a three-hitter. Aaron Todd allowed four hits for York.

POLAND 14, LAKE REGION 2: C.J. Martin and Pat Summers each had two hits, and Kaleb Bridgham added a triple as the Knights (7-7) handled the Lakers (3-11) in six innings at Naples. 

MARSHWOOD 13, KENNEBUNK 3: Zach Quintal, Luke Fernandes, Matt Brenner and Nick Deveau knocked in two runs each to lead the Hawks (11-2) past the Rams (4-9) in six innings at South Berwick. 

SANFORD 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Ryan Camire struck out five in a six-hit shutout as Sanford (5-8) beat the Scots (5-8) at Standish.

Sean Smith singled home Tyler Flayhan for a 1-0 lead in the third. Sanford added unearned runs in the fifth and seventh. 

OCEANSIDE 6, MEDOMAK VALLEY 5: The Mariners (8-6) took the final lead with three runs in the sixth inning, then benefited from an unusual ending against the Panthers (5-8-1) at Thomaston.

The Panthers took a 5-3 lead in the sixth on singles by Robbie Griffin and Micah Williamson, who finished with three hits.

Later in the inning, Michael Kee, Medomak’s only available reserve, who entered the game when third baseman Kerry Madden injured his ankle, was ejected when he appeared to elbow a player while running to first.

That left Medomak with eight fielders, and when the Panthers got two on with two outs in the seventh, the game ended when there was nobody to bat for Kee.

Oceanside got its runs in the sixth when J.T. Tobin scored on a wild pitch, and Ben Wallace hit an RBI double and scored an error.

Brandon Soper hit a two-run double and scored on a double by Alex Greenrose in the fifth for Medomak.

Anthony Campagnoli scored on a passed ball in the first, Billy Joyce hit an RBI single in the fourth and Daniel Hendricks came home on a balk in the fifth for Oceanside. 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 11, WAYNFLETE 1: Tyler Hill hit two singles and a double, and Bill Roscoe added two hits for the Raiders (6-7), who scored five runs in both the third and fifth innings to beat the Flyers (8-4) at Portland.

WESTBROOK 9, BIDDEFORD 3: Austin Watts had three goals and six other players also scored for the Blue Blazes (7-4) against the Tigers (2-9) at Westbrook.

Jarrid Barlow, Nick Tremblay, Tyler Jack, Ben Grant, Kyle Gaudreau and Sam Carroll also scored. Gaudreau had two assists and Carroll one.

Kevin L’Heureux made seven saves for Westbrook. 

KENNEBUNK 8, SOUTH PORTLAND 5: Tyler Elkington, Sean Foley and Clayton Spang chipped in two goals apiece for the Rams (8-3), who scored twice in the final three minutes to pull away from the Red Riots (3-7) at Kennebunk.

Nick Ames and Harrison Hall added two assists.

Thomas Leddy scored three goals for South Portland. 

THORNTON ACADEMY 9, DEERING 4: Parker Roma scored four goals and Greg Lodge added three to lead the Trojans (9-2) past Deering (7-4) at Saco.

Josh Cyr added two goals and three assists for Thornton. Anthony Verville scored twice for the Rams. 

MASSABESIC 17, NOBLE 1: Pat Wyman and William Hayes each scored four goals as the Mustangs (3-7) downed the Knights (0-11) at North Berwick.

Jake Desrochers and Dylan Hayes added two goals apiece. 

PORTLAND 9, BONNY EAGLE 2: Mike Fuller and Max Pierter scored three goals each as the Bulldogs (6-6) beat Bonny Eagle (4-6) at Portland.

Joe Nielsen added two goals and an assist, and Pierter had an assist. 

CHEVERUS 10, WINDHAM 0: Jack Sutton scored five times, and Alan Wardwell had a 10-save shutout as the Stags (7-3) beat Windham (2-9) at Portland.

James Kane and Warren Murray scored twice each, and Spencer Amberson finished with five assists for the Stags.
