BERWICK — Berwick police and officers from neighboring South Berwick and North Berwick broke up a fight Saturday night between the residents of neighboring apartment buildings that involved knives and Tasers.
Police were called to 30 School St. for a fight between 10 to 14 people. The fight erupted after people in the buildings started feuding and then a dog belonging to one of them bit someone, police said.
Police charged Richard Socoloski, 29, of School Street with criminal use of an electronic weapon, disorderly conduct and violating bail conditions, police said.
Three men were taken to area hospitals for injuries and for pre-exisitng medical conditions, police said.
One of the people involved in the fracas fled and was involved in another fight later. Police charged Jeremy Hatcher, 29, of Jordan Street Berwick with aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing another person.
The victim in that case had minor cuts, police said.
Hatcher refused to submit to arrest and so officers used their own Tasers to incapacitate him, police said.
Police said the case remains under investigation and further arrests are expected.
Police asked that anyone with information contact police at 698-1136.
