HAMPTON, N.H. — Beachgoers and state and town officials are celebrating $14.5 million in renovations to New Hampshire’s Hampton Beach.

The facelift includes the construction of a new Seashell entertainment complex, the overhaul of bathhouses at the north and south end of the promenade; shady spots for sitting; an improved walkway; and new parking signs.

A ceremony is being held at 5 p.m. Friday with speeches, music, and fireworks.

An art show will take place on Saturday, along with entertainment on the Seashell stage.
