BANGOR — Police in Bangor are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian.
Police say a man was killed shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a car near the intersection of Patten and Main streets. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Police say witnesses reported that a light-colored sedan hit the man while driving on Main Street and sped off without stopping.
Police say the vehicle may have damage to the front end, hood or windshield. Investigators are seeking information from the public.
