PORTLAND — More than 300 people are gathering in Portland for a conference that focuses on the latest trends affecting college career centers and employers seeking entry-level, college-educated workers.

The Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers is holding its annual conference Monday through Wednesday at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. The Baltimore-based association develops educational programs and facilitates connections between colleges and employers looking to hire college students and graduates.

The Portland conference serves as a regional recruiting event where employers send representatives to develop relationships with career service personnel at member colleges and universities.

Career center staff from schools from throughout the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic will also learn about the changing face of recruitment and the latest trends in connecting colleges and employers.
