CONCORD, N.H. — New Hampshire’s Lakes Region is gearing up for the 89th annual Motorcycle Week — one of the country’s most popular bike rallies.
The event is based in Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee, and features races, rodeos and swap meets that are fixtures of “bike week.”
The week kicks off June 9 with the 6th annual Peter Makris Memorial Run to raise money for the Easter Seals New Hampshire Veterans Count program and the Laconia Fire Department’s Life Saving Fund and Water Rescue Unit. The traditional Battle of the Bands competition will be held the same day at Laconia Harley-Davidson.
The Hobo Railroad and M/S Mount Washington will offer special tours during the week.
