Greater Portland businesses will have Bastille Day events

Saturday is Bastille Day, also known as French National Day.

Are there local events scheduled to mark this important celebration of French culture? Mais oui.

Ned Swain of Devenish Wines is hosting a benefit for Cultivating Community at Turkey Hill Farm in Cape Elizabeth that day, which will feature a four-course menu built around a pig roast.

The participating chefs are David Levi, Brad Messier and Philippe Donald. French wines will be on hand, and guests are welcome to bring their own.

Tickets are $48 per person and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com/event/255906.
