SACO – Jeff Gelinas pitched a three-hitter Thursday to lead Fayette-Staples to a 3-1 victory against Saco-Biddeford Savings in a Zone 5 American Legion baseball game.

Gelinas struck out eight and walked six, and singled in a run in the first inning for Fayette-Staples (11-3).

Jack Kenney added an RBI in the third, and Cam Jackman scored in the sixth against Saco-Biddeford Savings (9-5) after an errant throw during a double-play attempt.

FIRST TITLE 11, SBS-WESTBROOK 1: Louie DiStasio struck out 10 and walked three in a six-inning one-hitter as visiting First Title (9-5) downed Saco Biddeford Savings of Westbrook (9-4).

Felix Del Vecchio had two hits and drove in three runs, and Mitchell Powers had two hits with a triple and two RBI for First Title.

STAPLES CROSSING 8, NOBLE 4: Jacob Lebel led off the eighth inning with a triple and scored the go-ahead run on Jordan Roberge’s single for Staples Crossing (5-9), which used a four-run eighth to beat Noble (4-10) at North Berwick.

Ryan Lemire added a double and two runs for Staples Crossing.

MOODY’S COLLISION 7, MORRILL POST 3: Alex Yankowski knocked in three runs with a pair of singles as Moody’s Collision (7-7) downed Morrill Post (7-7) at Gorham.

Damon Wallace finished with two RBI on three hits, including two doubles.

KENNEBUNK 12, MASSABESIC 6: Nick Emmons pitched a complete game and struck out seven to help Kennebunk (10-4) defeat Massabesic (9-5) at Waterboro.

Emmons walked two and allowed six hits, and had a double and a single for Kennebunk, which scored five runs in the first inning.

CUMBERLAND 11, OA-YARMOUTH 3: Bailey Train was 4 for 5 with a double, a triple, two homers and six RBI to lead visiting Cumberland past OA-Yarmouth (6-8).

SACO BAY PHYSICAL THERAPY 15, BONANZA OF SANFORD 5: Doug McLean and Anthony Sciaudone drove in four runs each to pace Saco Bay Physical Therapy at Sanford.

FALMOUTH 8, LIBBY- MITCHELL 2: Grayson Beressi went 2 for 3, scored twice and stole two bases for Falmouth (9-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

LIBBY-MITCHELL 8, FIRST TITLE 1: Stephen Marchewka had three hits and Benito Onorato pitched a complete game to help Libby-Mitchell at Portland.

STANDISH 19, BETHEL 4: Nick York struck out 11 and walked two in a three-hitter as Standish Post 128 (4-6) used 15 hits and 11 walks to win in five innings at Bethel.

CUMBERLAND 9, TRI-TOWN 4: Gabe Axelson pitched a complete game for Cumberland (6-4), which scored six in the sixth inning to pull away from Tri-Town (8-2) at Minot.

WINDHAM 8, SOUTH PORTLAND 7: Sam Coons singled home the winning run in a three-run sixth inning as visiting Windham beat South Portland (4-6).

OA-YARMOUTH 8, SOMERSET 6: Matt Highland singled home Mark Brown with the go-ahead run during a two-run seventh inning as OA-Yarmouth (8-5) won at Waterville.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 11, FALMOUTH 2: Josh Hill struck out six in a three-hitter and visiting Fayette-Staples (2-10) used a six-run seventh inning to beat Falmouth (3-7).

BRUNO’S 10, MASSABESIC 4: Domenic Fagone and Joe Apon each went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI to lead Bruno’s (12-1) past Massabesic (4-6) at Portland.

HOLYOKE 7, SANFORD 4: Connor McKay hit a two-out, three-run homer following an error in the eighth inning to lift the Holyoke Blue Sox (11-16) over the Sanford Mainers (9-14) at Holyoke, Mass.

NASHUA 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: The league-leading Silver Knights (23-6) scored all their runs in three-straight innings, beginning with a seven-run second, and shut out the visiting Raging Tide (12-15).
