YARMOUTH – Luke LaMagna hit a two-run double and Calvin Cooper singled home Ian Grover with the go-ahead run as OA Yarmouth scored six runs in the sixth inning to beat Morrill Post 7-5 after losing 9-5 in the opener of their American Legion baseball doubleheader Saturday.

Matt DiBiase drove in three runs for Morrill (8-8) in Game 1, and Matt Whitten had two triples and scored three times.

OA Yarmouth is 7-9.

CUMBERLAND SPLITS WITH FIRST TITLE: Drew Ferrick drove in three runs in a 10-5 win for First Title (10-6) in Game 1, and Pete Stauber scattered eight hits with no walks to lead Cumberland (10-5) to a 4-1 victory in the second game at Portland.

Tyler Flaherty had three hits and two RBI, and Nic Lops had three hits with a pair of runs for First Title in the opener.

Bailey Train had an RBI single in the second game for Cumberland.

ANDREWS, MOODY’S SPLIT: Ryan Dixon retired 15 of the final 18 batters to lead Andrews Post (7-6) to an 8-3 win over Moody’s (8-8) in the first game of a doubleheader at Portland.

Matthew Leclair countered with a four-hitter in the second game, an 8-1 Moody’s victory.

Nate Smart doubled home Nick Volger to break a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning of the first game. Mike Scala added a two-run double as Andrews broke it open.

Nathan Peasley, Matthew Burnell, Spencer Lapierre and Tom Reagan each had two hits for Moody’s in the second game.

WESTBROOK SWEEPS FALMOUTH: Keenan Lowe pitched a four-hitter in the opener and Ethan Nash allowed one earned run in the second game as Westbrook (11-4) earned a pair of wins against visiting Falmouth (9-5), 2-1 and 6-2.

FAYETTE-STAPLES, KENNEBUNK SPLIT: Jack Kenney had three hits and three RBI in a five-inning 15-0 win for Fayette-Staples (12-4) in Game 1, but Taylor Landry’s RBI triple in the sixth inning enabled Kennebunk (10-6) to earn a split with a 3-2 victory at Kennebunk.

SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS BANK SWEEPS NOBLE: Corey Collard threw a five-hitter for Saco-Biddeford Savings Bank (11-5) in a 10-0 Game 1 win, and Matt Cote had a two-run single as the visitors pulled away for an 8-6 victory over Noble (4-12) in the second game at North Berwick.

In the first game, Taylor Reuillard had three hits, including a home run. Nate McKeown collected three hits and three RBI, and Cote had three hits and drove in a pair of runs.

In Game 2, Nick LeBlond had three hits and scored twice for Saco-Biddeford. Brett Burke had two RBI for Noble.

MASSABESIC SWEEPS SACO BAY PT: Corey Mongiat threw a five-hitter in a 8-0 win, then went 4 for 4 with four RBI as Massabesic (11-5) completed a sweep with an 7-1 victory over Saco Bay PT (6-9) at Waterboro.

LIBBY-MITCHELL 15, BRISTOL SEAFOOD 3: Will LeBlond and Ryan Mancini each drove in three runs as Libby-Mitchell (5-10) pulled away from Bristol Seafood (0-15) at Scarborough.

Libby-Mitchell won the second game by forfeit.

JUNIOR LEGION

STANDISH POST SWEEPS FALMOUTH: Max Salevsky pitched a four-hitter as visiting Standish Post (6-6) won 13-1 in five innings before completing a sweep of Falmouth (3-9) with a 6-1 victory.

Devin Butler had a two-run double in the first game and scored three runs. Nate Morin led Standish in the second game with two hits, three runs scored and three stolen bases.

BIDDEFORD SAVINGS, LIBBY-MITCHELL SPLIT: Nate Huot was the winning pitcher and scored the go-ahead run as Biddeford Savings (8-4) earned a 7-1 victory over Libby-Mitchell (9-4) in a doubleheader opener at Biddeford.

Mitchell Rand drove in three runs in the second game as Libby-Mitchell held on for a 6-5 win.

CUMBERLAND 10, BRUNO’S 4: Alex McAdoo held Bruno’s (12-2) to six hits, and Chaz Reade and Jon Wright each hit a two-run single as Cumberland (9-3) won at home.

Myles Shields added a two-run double.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 12, FIRST TITLE 11: Kendall Tatsack singled home Devin Ruel in the bottom of the seventh to give Fayette-Staples a win over First Title at Saco.

Jon Ruterbories had three hits and two RBI for First Title.

BRUNSWICK 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Parker Wild had 10 strikeouts in 52/3 innings of relief to lead Brunswick (4-9) past Gray-New Gloucester (4-6) at Gray.

Jason Blier had a two-run double in the first inning for Brunswick. Ryan Brescia scored the winning run on a balk in the sixth.

MASSABESIC SPLITS WITH SOUTH PORTLAND: Caleb Chambers powered Massabesic (5-7) with four RBI in a 14-5 Game 1 victory, but Henry Curran struck out 16 in 61/3 innings to lead South Portland (5-7) to a 12-4 win in Game 2 at South Portland.
