AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage says the United States and State of Maine flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset in memory of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.
The presidential flag order is in effect Friday.
Armstrong died last week at the age of 82, following complications from cardiovascular procedures.
LePage calls astronaut Armstrong a hero and a symbol of American ingenuity and perseverance.
