It’s back-to-school time at Maine’s colleges and universities.
The University of Southern Maine’s Gorham campus came alive Saturday as freshmen and transfer students moved into the dorms.
Some 1,194 students are taking up residence at the dorms Saturday and Sunday at the university, which projects its enrollment will reach about 8,300 students in degree programs this year.
USM spokesman Robert Caswell described move-in day as “controlled chaos.”
