Gabi Cardona, Portland, senior, midfielder: The team captain must help make up for the graduation of all-state players Kylie Dalbec and Raechel Allen. 

Elizabeth Coughlin, North Yarmouth Academy, sophomore, goalie: Coming off a 103-save freshman season that finished with a 1-0 shutout of Winthrop in the Class C championship game. 

Sammy Crosman, Marshwood, senior, midfielder: Smart, four-year varsity player is a tough defender who sees the field well for the defending Western Class A champs. 

Emily Domingo, Greely, senior, defender: Excellent tackler on the wing with enough speed to recover, she is a key defensive component on a senior-laden team.

Lani Edwards, South Portland, senior, goalkeeper: After a strong sophomore season, Edwards and the rest of the Red Riots looking to bounce back from 2-12 season. 

Andrea Feeney, Windham, senior, goalie: Feeney stopped 78 percent of the shots she faced a year ago and is the backbone of a defense that allowed 18 goals in 17 games. 

Alice Flint, Camden Hills, senior, forward: Already an accomplished playmaker, her increased power on shots should raise her goal total. 

Karli-An Gilbert, Scarborough, senior, midfielder: An honorable-mention all-state pick as a junior, she plays the whole game well. 

Kallie Hutchinson, Yarmouth, sophomore, midfielder: Led Yarmouth in goals as a freshman, playing on the right side of the field. 

Arianna Kahler, Lisbon, sophomore, forward: Led the Greyhounds with 17 goals last year and spent the summer at a high-end camp honing her game.

Amanda Kasbohm, York, senior, goalie: The athletic four-year starter and captain will key a stout defense for the defending Western Class B champs. 

Caitlin LaFountain, Mt. Ararat, junior, midfielder: An all-KVAC pick last season after scoring six goals as a freshman. 

Allison Lemay, Westbrook, senior, forward: Captain and three-year contributor led the balanced Blazes’ offense in scoring last season.

Caroline L’Heureux, Sanford, senior, forward: SMAA’s only returning all-state player, she led Sanford in scoring as a junior and is a forceful presence close to the cage. 

Josephine Moore, Waynflete, senior, forward: The two-year captain moves from midfield to left inner and should combine with Merilla Michael to form a dual scoring threat. 

Lindsey Poirier, Marshwood, sophomore, midfielder: Stick skills, a strong drive, and hard shot make Poirier a person of interest for opposing coaches.

Hannah Plourde, Oceanside, senior, forward: Despite injuries, she was among the top scorers for a team on the rise in Eastern Class B. She and fellow senior forward Molly Mellor form a high-speed threat. 

Emily Rodrigue, Cheverus, senior, forward: A returning starter, she improved in the offseason and should be the top scoring threat for one of Western Class A’s best teams. 

Leika Scott, Falmouth, junior, midfielder: Strong and athletic, she can score and create while leading a formidable midfield for the Yachtsmen. 

Patty Smith, Gorham, senior, goalie: Three-year starter and captain has developed into one of the SMAA’s best. 

Alex Staples, Massabesic, junior, forward: Mustangs’ co-high scorer and an All-SMAA pick as a sophomore. 

Lauren Steidl, Cape Elizabeth, senior, forward: A Princeton-bound lacrosse All-American, she missed her junior season because of an ankle injury but was one of the Capers’ leading scorers as a sophomore. 

Staci Swallow, Cheverus, senior, midfielder: Makes an impact all over the field. She opened the season with two goals against Portland.
