PORTLAND – Justin Zukowski gained 142 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns Friday night, leading Portland to a 34-0 victory against Gorham in a Western Class A football game at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

After a slow start, Zukowski scored twice in the second quarter on runs of 31 and 29 yards.

The Bulldogs (2-1) took a 21-0 lead in the third after Garrang Majok returned a fumble 25 yards for a score. Portland ran for two more touchdowns in the fourth: Javon Pitts-Young broke free for a 66-yard score and Nick Bolger ran 35 yards for the final TD.

Pitts-Young finished with 113 yards on eight carries. Matt McKinney paced Gorham (0-3), gaining 89 yards on 22 carries.

Portland cornerback Abe Marr made 12 tackles and knocked away several passes.

NOBLE 14, SANFORD 0: David Thibault scored two touchdowns to lead Noble (2-1) over the Spartans (1-2) at Sanford.

Thibault caught a 12-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter from Ethan Beaulier to give the Knights the lead in the first quarter. Beaulier then completed a conversion pass to John Badger to make it 8-0.

Sanford threatened early in the fourth quarter, moving to the Noble 20, but was stopped on fourth-and-2.

The Spartans drove again, but with four minutes left Thibault returned a fumble 56 yards for his second touchdown.

Alex Shain ran for 103 yards on 22 carries, and Cody Moody completed 7 of 15 passes for 52 yards for Sanford.

KENNEBUNK 19, BIDDEFORD 6: Tyler Elkington rushed eight times for 116 yards and a touchdown to help Kennebunk (1-2) down the Tigers (1-2) at Biddeford.

Nick Emmons was 4 of 10 for 130 yards passing, including a 42-yard touchdown pass to Larson Coppinger that put the Rams up 13-0 in the second quarter.

Biddeford answered with a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Nick Leblond with nine minutes remaining in the game, but Kennebunk then took more than five minutes off the clock with a 70-yard drive capped by a Will Dumas 1-yard scoring run.

LISBON 48, WINTHROP 0: The Greyhounds (1-2) gained 434 yards, all on the ground, to defeat the Ramblers (1-2) at Winthrop.

Quincy Thompson led Lisbon with 113 yards rushing on five carries. He scored three touchdowns, all in the first half.

Jordan Torres added 106 yards on four carries and scored two touchdowns.

CONY 57, MT. ARARAT 28: Ben Lucas threw four touchdown passes, all in the first half, as the Rams (2-1) built a 43-0 lead against the Eagles (0-3) at Topsham.

Brandon St. Michel scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, rushing for the first two and hauling in a 15-yard pass for the third.

Matt Laurelez ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns for Mt. Ararat.

MADISON-CARRABEC 22, OCEANSIDE 20: Dillon Price caught two touchdown passes in the first half to give Madison (2-1) the lead and Oceanside (1-2) missed tying the game when a conversion rush was stopped just short of the goal line in the fourth quarter at Rockland.

Price pulled down passes of 16 and 31 yards from Denny Mooreshead. Price and Kyle Demchak ran in conversions, giving the Bulldogs a 16-0 halftime lead.

The Mariners answered in the third quarter with a 56-yard run from Dan Stone and 1-yard dive by Sam Meklin. Oceanside failed on its first PAT but Preston Spear rushed for the second, cuttng the lead to 16-14.

Trenton Jarrett, who led Madison with 92 yards, added another TD in the third quarter. The Bulldogs failed to convert the extra point, allowing the Mariners to get within two after Dan Stone ran in from 18 yards with 1:56 left. Stone was stopped just shy on the conversion.

LAWRENCE 48, OXFORD HILLS 6: Jake Doolan rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown, and caught a 72-yard touchdown pass over the middle in the third quarter to lead Lawrence (3-0) over Oxford Hills (1-2) at Fairfield.

Anthony Sementelli rushed for 74 yards and two scores on 13 carries for Lawrence.

Lawrence, which had 381 yards of offense, used two long touchdown runs, both on third and long, in the opening six minutes to take command.

MESSALONSKEE 20, SKOWHEGAN 12: The Eagles (3-0) lost six fumbles to Skowhegan (1-2) but relied on strong defense to win at Oakland.
