PORTLAND — The University of Maine School of Law says its alumni reunion will not only be its largest ever, but also will mark an important milestone in the school’s history.

The Portland law school holds its alumni reunion this weekend, celebrating 10 classes between 1962 and 2007.

While the law school traces its roots to 1898 and Maine’s original law school in Bangor, the modern version of the school opened 50 years ago in Portland, following approval by the state Legislature.

This weekend’s reunion includes a “State of the Law School” address by Dean Peter Pitegoff and a Saturday evening lobster bake.
