PORTLAND — The Portland Fire Department will present its annual merit awards on Saturday to honor to firefighters and paramedics for their service to the community.

Several Portland firefighters, who provided emergency medical care to victims of a shooting incident on July 11, will be recognized. Other recipients include Zachary Harmon, of the Kittery Police Department; and Scott Nollette, a Wells firefighter and Saco dispatcher.

Robert Koerner, CPR instructor, will receive the department’s Good Samaritan Award for providing lifesaving CPR to a cardiac arrest victim at Hadlock Field.

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Portland High School Auditorium.
