PORTLAND – Author Shonda Schilling will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Health & Wellness Expo, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Portland Expo on Park Avenue. The event, sponsored by the Portland Press Herald in partnership with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, is free and open to the public. Schilling will sign autographs and discuss her personal experience and her New York Times best-selling book, “The Best Kind of Different: Our Family’s Journey with Asperger’s Syndrome.”

Designed to provide an opportunity for people to learn about healthier living choices, the Expo will feature free health screenings, interactive information, educational speaker sessions and displays, flu shots and more.

“Harvard Pilgrim’s mission is to improve the quality and value of health care for the people and communities we serve, and this event allows us to live out our mission and support the community,” said Edward J. Kane, Harvard Pilgrim’s vice president in Maine. Attractions at the Expo will include:

Interactive displays, fun activities, healthy food, preventive screenings, and information and education promoting health and wellness.
