LEBANON, N.H. — Police in Lebanon, N.H., are searching for a man who they say crashed a car into a jewelry store to steal rings and necklaces.

Investigators said the burglar used his vehicle to push open the doors of Pearce Jewelers about 4 a.m. Monday. They told WMUR-TV he was unable to get beyond the foyer and settled for smashing a display case full of silver. He took jewelry that would net about $300.

Police said they believe the same man drove a car into the front door of Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars and stole three instruments on Oct. 3.

He also may be connected to two Vermont burglaries, one at a Jiffy Mart in Quechee and the other at a restaurant in Stowe.
