Benefit concert with optional preconcert dinner to aid Luc Mpangaje through the Safe Harbor Legal Assistance Fund. Mpangaje fled Burundi and lived in Portland before moving to Texas. He hopes to bring his family to Texas and Maine in early 2013.
The dinner is at 5:30 p.m. and is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

“Jewish Mysticism,” 7 to 8:30 p.m., second in a four-part series on Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism taught by Rabbi Natan Margalit at Adas Yoshuron, 50 Willow St., Rockland. The class is free for synagogue members and $5 per class for nonmembers.
