PORTLAND – Katie Roy scored on a wrist shot from the slot with 3:01 remaining Wednesday to give Cheverus a 6-5 victory against Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete in a schoolgirl hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Roy also scored three times in the second period, helping Cheverus (1-1-1) take a 5-4 lead into the third. Kathryn Clark pulled Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (1-1-1) even at 2:54 of the third with her second goal of the game.

Jill Hannigan had two goals for the Stags. Julia Ginder finished with a goal and an assist for the Capers.

BRUNSWICK 3, WINSLOW 2: Rachel Moroney scored the last of her three goals with 1:17 left in overtime to lift the Dragons (1-3) over the Black Raiders (1-3) at Winslow.

Brunswick trailed 2-0 after the first period before Moroney scored twice in the second to tie it.

Brennay O’Conell and Paige Veilleux scored for Winslow.

Reagan Cain had 38 saves for the Raiders. Claire Mendes had 19 for Brunswick.

GREELY 14, MT. ARARAT 1: Meg Finlay and Sarah Kurland scored three times apiece, and Danita Storey had two goals and three assists to lead the Rangers (3-1) past the Eagles (0-3) at Falmouth.

Paige Tuller also scored twice, and Etta Copenhagen had a goal and two assists for Greely.

Kayla Pinkham scored for Mt. Ararat.

LEAVITT/EDWARD LITTLE 12, ST. DOMINIC 1: Taylor Landry scored six goals for Leavitt/Edward Little (4-0), which pulled away with a six-goal second period against the Saints (0-3) at Auburn.

Shelbea Russell added two goals for Leavitt/Edward Little. Shaylin Collins, Danica Nadeau, Kristina Latlippe and Abby Roy also scored. Kayla McLellan answered for the Saints.

SCARBOROUGH 3, YORK 0: Alyssa Hulst finished with two goals and Rachel Wallace added another to lead the Red Storm (4-0) past York (2-1) at Gorham.

FALMOUTH 6, BIDDEFORD 0: Jayde Bazinet, Sarah Hutchenson, Camden Carrier and Abby Payson each had a goal and an assist, and Gabby St. Angelo and Meghan Hallowell added one goal each to lead the Yachtsmen (2-3) past the Tigers (2-2) at Biddeford.

Cassie Ellis finished with 48 saves for Biddeford. Hillary Nash made eight saves to earn the shutout.
