POLAND — Tiana-Jo Carter had a triple-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks, and Lake Region rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Poland 49-38 in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball opener Friday night.

Lake Region, the defending Western Class B champion, trailed 28-20 at halftime and 35-30 after three quarters.

Michaella Arsenault scored 16 points for Poland.

GREELY 53, WELLS 39: Jaclyn Storey scored nine of her 24 points in the fourth quarter, and Caton Beaulieu chipped in four points as the Rangers used a 19-2 run to wipe out a three-point deficit against the Warriors at Cumberland.

Wells took a 25-21 halftime lead with an 18-4 run in the second quarter, but Greely turned it around after switching to a zone defense.

Alison Furness scored 18 points for the Warriors.

FALMOUTH 54, CAPE ELIZABETH 42: Dayna Vasconcelos finished with 18 points while Anna Hickey added 16 to lead the Yachtsmen past the Capers at Falmouth.

Marlo Dell’Aquila led Cape Elizabeth with 15 points.

TRAIP ACADEMY 51, SACOPEE VALLEY 50: Kendra Kagiliery hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining to lift the Rangers over the Hawks at Kittery.

Kagiliery finished with 10 points. Alli Barrett led Traip with 14.

Morgan Sanborn scored 26 points for Sacopee Valley.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 81, YARMOUTH 38: Maria Valente had 21 points and Stephanie Greaton scored 17 as the Patriots downed the Clippers at Gray.

Haley Cote chipped in 13 points and five steals, and Michele Dehetre knocked down four 3-pointers — all in the first half — to help Gray-New Gloucester open a 42-10 halftime lead.

Grace O’Donnell scored 12 points for Yarmouth. Sean Cahill had 10.

MT. ARARAT 55, EDWARD LITTLE 52: Mallory Nelson scored 15 of her 32 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles rallied past the Red Eddies at Topsham.

Lindsay Cornelison added eight points and Caitlyn LaFountain finished with seven points for the Eagles, who trailed 41-31 after three quarters.

CONY 61, BRUNSWICK 50: Hayley Quirion made five 3-pointers and scored 15 points as the Rams won at Brunswick.

Lyse Henshaw had 17 points for Brunswick.

WESTBROOK 48, KENNEBUNK 29: Emily Blackmore scored 10 points to pace the Blue Blazes to a victory at Westbrook.

Alexis Redmond grabbed 10 rebounds for the Blue Blazes.

Doria King led Kennebunk with 11 points.

SOUTH PORTLAND 48, WINDHAM 27: Brianne Maloney finished with 17 points and Danica Gleason added 15 to lead the Red Riots past the Eagles at Windham.

Sadie Nelson paced Windham with nine points.

SCARBOROUGH 56, GORHAM 23: Mary Redmond scored 16 points for the Red Storm, who took a 13-2 first-quarter lead at Gorham.

MARSHWOOD 45, PORTLAND 23: Megan McLean scored nine points to lead a balanced offense for the Hawks against the Bulldogs at South Berwick.

Brianna Holdren paced Portland with eight points.

CHEVERUS 54, BIDDEFORD 19: Cassidy Grover scored 12 points for the visiting Stags against the Tigers.

Georgia Ford added 10 points, including five in the third quarter when Cheverus went on an 18-4 run for a 45-17 lead.

Carissa Gelinas had 11 points and Bailey Cote grabbed 13 rebounds for the Tigers.

MCAULEY 79, NOBLE 12: Allie Clement scored 21 points with five steals, and the Lions opened with a 29-0 run against the visiting Knights at Portland.

Victoria Lux added 10 points and four rebounds, and Jackie Welch also had 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting.

YORK 52, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Ruby Cribby scored 14 points to lead the Wildcats over the Raiders at York.

Shannon Todd added 12 points, and Marquis MacGlashing had 10 rebounds and seven blocks for York, which jumped out to a 24-2 first-quarter lead.

Skye Dole paced Fryeburg with 23 points.

FREEPORT 66, NYA 4: Nina Davenport scored 22 points as the Falcons handled the Panthers at Yarmouth.

GARDINER 56, MORSE 43: Allyson Day scored 15 points, and Taylor Banister and Kylee Granholm added 12 apiece as the Tigers downed the Shipbuilders at Bath.

Megan Hixon had 14 points and Signe Ostergaard contributed 12 for Morse.

WISCASSET 53, TELSTAR 32: Briana Goud scored 21 points for the Wolverines, who took a 15-6 first-quarter lead over the Rebels and pulled away at Bethel.

MARANACOOK 54, MEDOMAK VALLEY 43: Maranacook opened with a 19-1 run and held off the Panthers at Waldoboro.

Sarah Clough made five 3-pointers and had 19 points for the Black Bears.

Hannah Griffin and Hannah Marks scored 10 points apiece for Medomak.

CAMDEN HILLS 61, WATERVILLE 34: Jordon Knowlton scored 18 points to lead the Windjammers over the Purple Panthers at Waterville.

Charlotte Smith contributed a goal and two assists, Mackenzie Collins and Shayla Wing also scored, and Victoria Richards had two assists.

Julia Ginder scored three goals for Cape/Waynflete (1-2-1), which also got a goal and two assists from Emily Spidle. Kate Ewald scored the other goal.
