PORTLAND – Gabby St. Angelo scored two goals, and Jayde Bazinet added a goal and an assist Wednesday to lead Falmouth to a 4-1 victory against Portland/Deering in a schoolgirl hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Sarah Hutcheon also scored for the Yachtsmen (3-3). Drew Barry scored for Portland/Deering (1-4-1).

LEWISTON 4, GREELY 2: Erica Lemieux scored three third-period goals for the Blue Devils (3-2), who scored four unanswered goals to rally past the Rangers (4-2) at Falmouth.

Meg Finlay opened the scoring for Greely from Paige Tuller midway through the first period. Mary Morrison added a goal 2:37 into the second.

The Blue Devils cut the deficit to 2-1 on a power-play goal by Corinne Laberge with 1:30 left in the second period.

Brianna Lajoie finished with 27 saves for Lewiston.

EDWARD LITTLE/LEAVITT 2, BRUNSWICK 1: Amanda Grenier scored a power-play goal from Shelbea Russell in the final minute to lift the Red Hornets (6-0) over the Dragons (2-4) at Auburn.

After a scoreless first period, the Red Hornets opened the scoring 2:35 into the second when Taylor Landry scored from Russell.

Rachel Moroney tied it from Tess Cassidy and Maddie Wilkes with 1:55 left in the second.

BIDDEFORD 8, CHEVERUS 4: Tiffany Gagne and Darcy Fisher scored two goals apiece for the Tigers (4-2), who used five second-period goals to pull away from the Stags (1-3-1) at Biddeford.

Katherine Dumoulin chipped in a goal and two assists for Biddeford.

Katie Roy scored twice for Cheverus.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

YORK 8, NOBLE/WELLS 4: Jimmy Orso scored three goals, and Derek Neal had two goals and two assists to lead the Wildcats (2-0) past the Knights (1-1) at Dover, N.H.

Zach Franklin added a goal and four assists, and Adam Janetti had a goal and two assists for York.

Dean Pratt scored twice for Noble/Wells.

BIDDEFORD 6, BRUNSWICK 3: Matt Jerome snapped a 2-2 tie with 6:35 remaining and Biddeford (1-0) used four unanswered third-period goals to beat the Dragons (1-1) at Brunswick.

Nate Crepeau had two goals for the Tigers. Kerry Crepeau, Nik Lemieux and Wyatt Leblond also scored.

The Dragons got goals from Matt Brooks, Kyle Woodruff and Ryan Maciejewski.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 32, HALL-DALE 25: The Mustangs (1-1) held Hall-Dale (2-1) scoreless for the last 13 minutes at Monmouth.

Kasey Smith led the Mustangs with 12 points and Billy Cummings added 11. Michael Woods led Hall-Dale with eight.

“It wasn’t a stall by any means,” Monmouth Coach Lucas Turner said. “It was just good, hard man-to-man defense. On the offensive end we had to be very disciplined, looking for layups and wide-open jumpers.”

BOOTHBAY REGION 58, WINTHROP 41: John Hepburn scored 11 of his game-high 23 points in the first quarter and also finished with 10 rebounds for the Seahawks (3-0), who opened on a 20-6 run and held off the Ramblers (1-2) at Boothbay Harbor.

Anthony DiMauro added 12 points for Boothbay, which led 26-16 at halftime.

Crispin Blanda paced Winthrop with 10 points.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

BOOTHBAY REGION 76, WINTHROP 18: Abby McLellan scored 19 points and Alexandra Clarke added 17 as the Seahawks (2-1) beat the Ramblers (1-2) at Boothbay Harbor.

Shauna Carlson led Winthrop with 12 points.
