Lyn Dillies puts more magic in “Magic of Christmas.” The Massachusetts-based illusionist joins the Portland Symphony Orchestra for this year’s “Magic of Christmas” concerts at Merrill Auditorium, 20 Myrtle St., Portland.

Music director Robert Moody has conceived a program that includes the drama of magic, traditional stories from the Bible and festive holiday cheer. In addition to Dillies, guests include the Windham Chamber Singers, the Magic of Christmas Chorus and TV personality Bill Green, who will read Bible scriptures.

Concerts are scheduled for 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 23; and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets range from $31 to $61 through PortTix; 842-0800 or porttix.com.
