• The 207Lacrosse boys’ U15 travel team started its inaugural season by winning the New England Select Lacrosse League’s Holiday Laxfest on Saturday at Marlborough, Mass. The team of eighth-graders includes George Fitzgerald, Ayden Henson, Bryce Henson, Andrew Langdon and Liam Tucker of Falmouth; Christian Glover of Brunswick; Conrad Grimmer of Lewiston; Will Hall of Cumberland; Peyton Jones of Cape Elizabeth; Adam Lewis of Biddeford; Ben Palizay and Gabe Palizay of North Yarmouth; and Nate Richards and Chase Walter of Portland. The coaches are Sam Manders and Don Glover.

• Two Nor’Easters synchronized skating teams won medals at the Cape Cod Synchro Classic, held Dec. 7-9 at John Gallo Ice Arena in Bourne, Mass. The competition attracted more than 1,000 skaters on 108 teams, competing in 15 divisions divided by age range and test level.

The Nor’Easters open adult team, composed of 10 skaters ages 24 to 60, received gold medals after tying for first place in its division. The open juvenile team, with nine skaters ages 13 to 18, also tied for first place but lost the tiebreaker and received silver medals.

• Ron Hebert made a hole-in-one on the second hole at Nonesuch River Golf Club on Dec. 3. He used a 7-iron for the 145-yard shot, which was witnessed by Bob Noiles.
