PORTLAND — Jill Hannigan had a hat trick and Katie Randall scored the winner in overtime to give Cheverus a 6-5 girls’ hockey win over Biddeford Wednesday night at the Portland Ice Arena.

Katie Roy added two goals for the Stags (3-4).

Tiffany Gagne paced Biddeford (4-4) with a pair goals and an assist.

GREELY 9, ST. DOMINIC 1: Paige Tuller and Sarah Kurland each had three goals as the Rangers (6-2) handled the Saints (2-5) at Lewiston.

Meg Finlay had two goals and Danita Storey also scored for the Rangers, who outshot the Saints, 50-10.

Kayla McLellan scored for St. Dominic.

Maura Perry stopped nine shots for the win. Taylor Fillebrown made 41 saves for St. Dominic.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

KENNEBUNK 2, FRYEBUG ACADEMY 0: Ben Bath and Ryan Keefe scored in the third period as the Rams (2-2) pulled away from the Raiders (1-2) at UNE.

James Ross and Joe Mooney had an assist each.

Pavle Stepanovic stopped 57 shots for Fryeburg Academy.

YARMOUTH 1, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Brendon Pelletier scored midway through the third period as the Red Eddies (1-2-1) tied the Clippers (0-2-2) at Auburn.

Brandon Croteau and Brenden Dyer helped with an assist each.

Kevin Haley scored for Yarmouth.

Zachary Gosslin made 23 saves for Edward Little. 

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

WAYNFLETE 70, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 28: Serge Nyirikamba scored 13 points to lead four double-digit scorers for the Flyers (5-0) against the visiting Panthers (1-4).

Jack Cutler, Max Belleau and Mohammed Suja each had 11 points for Waynflete.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 65, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 26: Zach Wilday scored 35 points to lead the Breakers (2-3) past the Lions (0-3) at Freeport.

Jean-Pierre Tashamala added 12 points and Chris Wilday had 10.

Eighth-grader Ethan Spaulding scored 13 points for Greater Portland Christian.

RICHMOND 37, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 32: Cameron Emmons scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half as the Bobcats (2-2) pulled away from the Guardians (2-3) at Richmond.

Sean Bernier added 10 points. Randy Moody had 12 rebounds.

Logan Archer paced Seacoast Christian with 11 points.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

WAYNFLETE 76, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 22: Emily Wasserman scored 13 points as the Flyers (3-1) jumped to a 28-2 first quarter lead over the Panthers (0-5) at Portland.

Helen Gray-Bauer and Rhianan Jackson added 12 points apiece.

Chloe Leishman had nine points for NYA.

POLAND 58, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 44: Emily Bolduc scored 18 points to lead the Knights (3-2) past the visiting Raiders (0-4).

Michaella Arsenault added 14 points and Brittina Maheux had 13.

Bolduc knocked down four 3-pointers in the first half, helping Poland take a 33-19 lead.

Skye Dole scored 16 points for Fryeburg Academy.

RICHMOND 59, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 13: Ciarra Lancaster had 17 points, six rebounds and five steals as the Bobcats (3-1) beat the Guardians (0-5) at Richmond.

Jamie Plummer added 15 points for Richmond.

Shannon Kunz scored 11 points for Seacoast Christian.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 44, PINE TREE ACADEMY 37: Elaine Beech scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds to power the Lions (3-0) past the Breakers (0-3) at Freeport.

Rebecca McGuire led Pine Tree Academy with 16 points. 

DIRIGO 47, CARRABEC 37: Kayla Gaudin had 18 points as the Cougars beat the Cobras in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Dixfield.

Mercedes Welch had 13 points for Carrabec.
