The Portland Elks Lodge will hold its annual foul-shooting contest Sunday at McAuley High in Portland. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the competition will start at 9:45. The event offers three age groups for boys and girls: 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. The six winners will advance to the regional shoot-off Jan. 13 in Wells, with an opportunity to move on to the state championships Jan. 27 in Brewer. Lighthouse Lacrosse will offer indoor skills and scrimmage sessions for boys at the Seacoast United facilities in York and Hampton, N.H., beginning Sunday. Sessions will be held at each location for three age groups: U11 ($95), U13 ($130) and U15 ($130). Each session runs for eight weeks.
