PORTLAND – Sadie Nelson scored 16 points and Sam Frost added 12 to help Windham to a 55-43 victory against Portland in an SMAA schoolgirl basketball game Saturday at the Portland Expo.

Windham (4-4) took a 38-27 halftime lead and outscored the Bulldogs 11-4 in the third quarter.

Brianna Holdren paced Portland (2-7) with 10 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 49, KENNEBUNK 27: Olivia Shaw scored 18 points to lead Thornton Academy (5-3) over the Rams (1-8) at Kennebunk.

TRAIP ACADEMY 40, SACOPEE VALLEY 39: Kendra Kagiliery hit a 3-point shot in the final seconds to lift Traip Academy (3-5) over the Hawks (2-5) at South Hiram.

Kristen Lyle’s basket from the paint gave Sacopee a 39-37 lead moments earlier.

LAKE REGION 57, WELLS 33: Kelsey Winslow finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Tiana-Jo Carter scored nine points to go with 25 rebounds and five blocked shots as the Lakers (7-1) cruised past the Warriors (3-5) at Naples.

Lake Region led 11-7 after one quarter and took control in the second, outscoring Wells 18-3 behind four 3-pointers.

GREELY 68, YARMOUTH 29: Jaclyn Storey scored six points as the Rangers (7-1) took an 18-3 first-period lead, and added 13 in the third when Greely expanded a 34-19 halftime lead to 53-21 over Yarmouth (0-8) at Cumberland.

Haley Felkel also scored six of her eight in the first quarter for Greely.

YORK 62, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 36: Marquis MacGlashing scored 13 of her game-high 15 points in the first half as the Wildcats (8-0) took a 31-24 lead and then pulled away from the Patriots (5-2) at Gray.

York took control in the third quarter, outscoring Gray-New Gloucester 16-4 behind six points apiece from Shannon Todd and Emily Campbell. Todd finished with 13 points.

CAPE ELIZABETH 43, POLAND 35: Marlo Dell’Aquila had 16 points, five rebounds and four steals, and Kisa Tabery chipped in six points and eight boards to help the Capers (3-5) beat the Knights (3-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

Cape started the third quarter with a 14-4 run to go up 30-20 and a 3-pointer by Anna Goldstein later in the quarter helped the Capers take a 33-28 lead into the fourth.

FREEPORT 39, FALMOUTH 38: Nina Davenport scored 15 points and gave the Falcons (4-3) a 37-35 lead over the Yachtsmen (4-4) with a put-back bucket early in the fourth quarter at Freeport.

WAYNFLETE 53, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 39: Martha Veroneau made five 3-pointers in the third quarter and scored 23 of her game-high 30 points in the second half as the Flyers (6-2) pulled away from the Raiders (2-6) at Fryeburg.

Juliana Harwood added 10 points for Waynflete, which trailed 18-15 at halftime before outscoring Fryeburg 26-11 in the third quarter.

HYDE 43, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 28: Allie Helfrich and Shannon Ward scored seven points apiece to lead the Phoenix (6-0) over the Guardians (0-7) at South Berwick.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 40, PINE TREE ACADEMY 30: Ashlee Dawson scored eight first-half points as the Lions (5-0) opened a 26-16 lead against the Breakers (0-8) at South Portland.

BIDDEFORD 4, GOR-HAM/BONNY EAGLE 1: Tiffany Gagne scored two goals and Delani Roy added three assists for the Tigers (5-4-1), who scored three unanswered goals to pull away from Gorham/Bonny Eagle at Biddeford.

YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 4, PORTLAND/DEERING 2: Michelle Robichaud scored two goals and assisted on another for Yarmouth/Freeport (4-7-1), which scored three third-period goals to rally past Portland/Deering (2-7-1) at Portland.

GREELY 12, CHEVERUS 0: Mary Morrison and Danita Storey each had two goals and two assists to lead the Rangers (8-2-1) past the Stags (2-8-1) at Falmouth.

BRUNSWICK 3, MT. ARARAT 0: Eliza Brooks scored twice in about a minute early in the third period and the Dragons (4-6) shut out the Eagles (0-10) at Brunswick.
