DOVER, N.H. – Antonio DiPietro’s goal midway through the third period gave Portland/Deering a 3-2 win over Marshwood/Traip in a Class A boys’ hockey game Monday.

Marshwood/Traip (4-5) took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Peter Lajeunesse and Jacob Scremin.

Mike Fuller and Caleb Fraser answered for Portland/Deering (4-2) in the second period.

 

ST. DOM’S 1, BRUNSWICK 0: Calvin Stewart scored a power-play goal late in the second period and Grant Carrier made 18 saves as the Saints (2-3-1) blanked the Dragons (4-3) at Watson Arena.

Stewart’s goal came at 14:42 of the second on the rebound of a shot by Brad Berube. Zach DeBlois also was credited with an assist.

Blake Alexander finished with 18 saves for Brunswick.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

NYA 55, RICHMOND 32: Bill Paxton scored 14 points to lead the Panthers (3-5) over the Bobcats (2-5) at Richmond.

Ryan Hemenway added 11 points, and El Tayeb Dahia scored eight with nine rebounds and six steals.

Mike Stewart had 14 points for Richmond.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

BOOTHBAY 55, WISCASSET 28: Sarah Caron made four 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to power the Seahawks (6-2) past the Wolverines (2-6) at Wiscasset.

Briana Gould paced Wiscasset with 15 points.

 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 61, TELSTAR 16: Amanda Castonguay led a balanced offense with 11 points for the Phoenix (9-0) against the Rebels (0-8) at Livermore Falls.

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 46, OAK HILL 40: The Mustangs (7-1) wasted an 11-point halftime lead, but Melissa Brassard made 5 of 6 free throws in the last two minutes to secure a win over the Raiders (4-5) at Monmouth.

Oak Hill briefly took the lead with 2:30 remaining, aided by Sadie Goulet’s four 3-pointers. Goulet finished with 22 points.

 

HALL-DALE 62, WINTHROP 14: Molly French scored 11 points and Allison Crockett had 10 as the Bulldogs (3-5) beat the Ramblers (0-7) at Winthrop.

Cat Ouellette led Winthrop with six points.

MADISON 59, CARRABEC 27: The Bulldogs (6-2) jumped to a 22-6 first-quarter lead en route to a win at Madison.

Sam Bruce paced Madison with 15 points, and Cristie Vicneire and Bronte Elias each scored 10.

Macy Welch led Carrabec (4-5) with eight points.
