ROCKLAND – Kennadi Grover scored her 1,000th career point and Oceanside knocked off previously undefeated Nokomis, earning a 57-45 victory in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls’ basketball game Friday night.
Grover, who entered the game with 985 points, reached the milestone midway through the third quarter. She finished with 23 points and 18 rebounds.
Taylor Shaw scored 15 points for Nokomis (9-1). Anna MacKenzie added 13 and Traci Carson had 10.
Oceanside is 9-1.
MCAULEY 64, THORNTON ACADEMY 38: Allie Clement scored 20 points to pace the Lions (10-0) over the Trojans (6-4) at Saco.
Olivia Smith added 13 points and Sarah Clement scored 12.
Abigail Strickland led the Trojans with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Olivia Shaw finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
SOUTH PORTLAND 55, PORTLAND 41: Danica Gleason scored seven of her 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Red Riots (8-2) pulled away from the Bulldogs (3-8) at Portland.
South Portland led 40-38 after three quarters.
Brianne Maloney finished with 12 points and Hope Owen scored 10 for South Portland.
Brianna Holdren paced Portland with 14 points.
WINDHAM 44, MASSABESIC 34: Sadie Nelson scored 16 points and the Eagles (5-5) used a 16-6 fourth-quarter run to get by the Mustangs (1-9) at Waterboro.
Windham made 8 of 9 from the free-throw line the fourth quarter.
Jolena Lampron scored 11 points for Massabesic.
SCARBOROUGH 58, NOBLE 30: Sam Sparda scored 13 points, and Courtney Alofs and Mary Redmond added 12 apiece to pace the Red Storm (9-1) in a victory over the Knights (1-9) at North Berwick.
Scarborough led 34-8 at the half.
Chandler Waterman led Noble with 13 points. Amber Kelley scored 11.
MARSHWOOD 37, BONNY EAGLE 26: Jillian Gori and Abby Hyson scored six apiece to pace the Hawks (4-6) past the Scots (3-7) at South Berwick.
Marshwood led 36-10 after three quarters.
Jordan Ray had eight points for Bonny Eagle.
GORHAM 51, BIDDEFORD 17: Abby Hamilton scored 15 points and Kristin Ross added 14 as the Rams (6-4) downed the Tigers (2-9) at Biddeford.
The Rams led only 19-14 at halftime but applied full-court pressure in the third quarter to go on a 13-0 run.
MT. ARARAT 47, BREWER 40: Mallory Nelson tallied 15 points and Kristy Willey scored 14 as the Eagles (10-0) defeated the Witches (5-5) at Topsham.
Willey drilled three 3-pointers. Chelsea Crawford contributed nine points.
Brewer was led by Lindsay Houp with 13 points.
BRUNSWICK 39, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 35: Lyse Henshaw scored 19 points, including six free throws in the fourth quarter as the Dragons (2-8) rallied past the visiting Broncos (0-10).
Julia Champagne added nine points, eight rebounds and four steals.
Erin Murphy led Hampden with 13 points.
CAMDEN HILLS 42, MARANACOOK 40: Jordan Knowlton scored 19 points and Maranacook (5-5) had a shot go in and out at the buzzer as the Windjammers (6-4) escaped with the victory in Rockport.
Christine Miller led Mar-anacook with 12 points. Mariah Vining added 11 and Catherine Sanborn chipped in with eight.
GARDINER 43, MEDOMAK VALLEY 25: Kylee Granholm scored 17 points to go along with five steals, leading the Tigers (6-3) past the Panthers (3-7) at Gardiner.
Rachel Quirion added eight points. Justice Barrows had eight points for Medomak.
MORSE 33, WATERVILLE 31: Megan Hixon scored 10 points as the Shipbuilders (2-8) edged the Purple Panthers (2-8) in Waterville.
Colleen O’Donnell scored 15 points for Waterville.
LAKE REGION 59, FALMOUTH 38: Kelsey Winslow had 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Lakers (9-1) downed the Yachtsmen (4-6) at Naples.
Tiana-Jo Carter also had a double-double for Lake Region, scoring 10 points and pulling down 18 rebounds. CeCe Hancock added 14 points.
Ally Hickey led Falmouth with 21 points.
YORK 53, WELLS 31: Freshman Shannon Todd scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Wildcats (9-1) over the Warriors (3-7) at York.
York used a full-court press to jump out to a 30-11 halftime lead.
Ruby Cribby added 15 points for York. Alison Furness scored 15 for Wells.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 68, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 43: Haylee Cote scored 17 points with five 3-pointers to spark the Patriots (7-2) to a win over the Raiders (2-8) at Gray.
Maria Valente put in 13 points, and Stephanie Greaton had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Patriots.
Skye Dole scored 14 points for Fryeburg.
CAPE ELIZABETH 63, YARMOUTH 35: Kisa Tabery had 13 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks, and 11 players scored for the Capers (5-5) in a win over the Clippers (0-10) at Cape Elizabeth.
Montana Braxton added 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Monica Austin scored 10 points for Yarmouth.
HYDE 49, NORTH YAR-MOUTH ACADEMY 24: Jailene Martinez and Kathryn Comeaux scored 10 points each as the Phoenix (9-0) beat the Panthers (2-6) at Yarmouth.
Chloe Leishman paced NYA with 12 points.
SACOPEE VALLEY 41, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 27: Kristen Lyle had 14 points to lead the Hawks (3-6) past the Guardians (0-8) at South Berwick.
Morgan Sanborn chipped in with nine points for Sacopee Valley. Shannon Kunz and Kylene DeSmith each scored eight for Seacoast Christian.
BOOTHBAY REGION 65, TELSTAR 30: Alexandra Clarke scored 14 points to lead the Seahawks (8-2) to a win over the Rebels (0-10) at Boothbay Harbor.
Sarah Caron added 13 for the Seahawks, who raced out to a 25-2 lead in the first quarter.
CARRABEC 46, WISCASSET 33: Emma Pluntke and Brooklynne Lewis each tallied eight points to lift the Cobras (5-5) over the Wolverines (2-7) at Wiscasset.
Pluntke added seven rebounds for Carrabec, which led 11-1 after the first quarter.
Alecia Faulkingham scored eight points for Wiscasset.
