SOUTH PORTLAND – Danica Gleason and Brianne Maloney each scored 16 points, and South Portland held on for a 49-47 win over Gorham in an SMAA girls’ basketball game Friday night.

South Portland (10-2) never trailed in the second half, but also never led by more than seven.

Kristin Ross scored 16 points and Ashley Woodbury had 14 for Gorham (7-5).

DEERING 55, WESTBROOK 35: Keneisha DiRamio and Chelsea Saucier each scored 10 points in the first half, when the Rams opened a 29-11 lead against the visiting Blue Blazes (0-11).

Saucier finished with 16 points, while DiRamio ended up with 12.

Ashlee Richards scored 11 points for Westbrook.

BONNY EAGLE 54, KENNEBUNK 35: Shannon Sanborn had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Scots (4-9), who used a 17-8 second-quarter run to take a 25-18 lead over the Rams (2-10) at Standish.

Samantha Maxfield also scored 12 points and Delaney McCullough had 11 for Bonny Eagle.

Doria King scored 10 for Kennebunk.

SANFORD 66, MASSABESIC 28: Samantha Adams led a balanced offense with 12 points for the Spartans (9-3) as they defeated the Mustangs (2-10) at Waterboro.

Grace Riley scored 11, Heather LeBlanc had 10, and Taylor Littlefield put in nine for Sanford.

MARSHWOOD 52, NOBLE 40: Alli Schoff scored 11 points and the Hawks (5-7) beat the visiting Knights (0-11) at South Berwick.

Amber Kelly and Chandler Waterman each had 13 points for Noble.

FALMOUTH 27, CAPE ELIZABETH 25: Meg Palombo hit a 3-pointer from the corner with 12 seconds left to give Falmouth (5-7) a win over the Capers (6-6) at Cape Elizabeth.

The Capers had taken the lead for the first time with 30 seconds left on a basket by Kisa Tabery.

Ally Hickey led the Yachtsmen with 13 points.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 71, YARMOUTH 35: Maria Valente scored 26 points for the Patriots (9-2) in a win over the Clippers (0-12) at Yarmouth.

The Patriots took control in the second quarter with a 23-4 run. Haylee Cote finished with 19 points and Michele Dehetre scored 12 for Gray-New Gloucester.

Monica Austin paced the Clippers with 10 points.

WAYNFLETE 67, TRAIP ACADEMY 23: Martha Veroneau scored 19 points to lead the Flyers (10-2) past the Rangers (3-7) at Kittery.

Juliana Harwood and Leigh Fernandez each added 10 points. Alli Barrett scored 13 for Traip.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 63, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 17: Lauralee Small scored 14 points, Julia Fregeau had 12 and Christina Colman added 11 as the visiting Seagulls (9-4) handled the Panthers (2-8) at Yarmouth.

Chloe Leishman led NYA with 11 points.

EDWARD LITTLE 57, MT. ARARAT 52: Ashlee Arnold had 19 points as the Red Eddies (10-2) edged the Eagles (10-2) at Auburn.

The game was tied at 41 in the fourth quarter before Arnold buried two of her five 3-pointers.

Tianna Harriman and Kory Norcross each contributed 10 points for Edward Little.

Mallory Nelson scored 24 for Mt. Ararat.

CONY 67, BRUNSWICK 36: Josie Lee had a triple-double to lead the Rams (6-6) past the Dragons (2-10) at Augusta.

Lee, a guard, finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Haley Quirion scored 17 points and Emily Quirion added 15.

Julia Champagne scored 14 points to lead Brunswick.

BOOTHBAY 42, MT. ABRAM 38: Allison Carbone-Crocker scored 13 points and Sarah Caron had 11 for the Seahawks (11-2) in a win over the Roadrunners (6-7) at Salem.

Mikayla Luce hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to spark a Mt. Abram comeback bid. She finished with 13 points and Tori Beane had nine.

MADISON 50, WISCASSET 38: Samantha Bruce scored 19 points to spark the Bulldogs (11-2) past the Wolverines (2-10) at Wiscasset.

Bronte Elias had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Kristen Wood scored 10 for Madison. The Bulldogs went 18 for 24 at the free-throw line, while the Wolverines were 3 for 14.

Kasey Cromwell, Briana Gould and Heidi Pinkham each scored eight points for Wiscasset. Gould also grabbed 10 rebounds.

RICHMOND 56, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 9: Jamie Plummer scored 13 points and Payton Johnson added 10 as the Bobcats (10-2) handled the Guardians (0-11) at South Berwick.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 38, OAK HILL 31: Kailee Newcomb scored 14 points as the Phoenix (13-0) beat the Raiders (6-7) in Wales.

Danielle Samson scored eight points for Oak Hill.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 62, CARRABEC 45: Sierra Spencer scored 21 points and Kylie Kemp added 13 to lead the Mustangs (8-3) over the visiting Cobras (5-7).

HALL-DALE 74, TELSTAR 43: Allison Crockett scored 13 points and Nicole Pelletier added 11 to lead Hall-Dale to a win in Farmingdale.

The Bulldogs (6-6) led just 28-24 at halftime.

Victoria Ryerson scored 11 points to lead Telstar (0-12).
