BANGOR — A grand jury has indicted a 55-year-old Maine woman for allegedly stealing half a million dollars from the company where she worked as a bookkeeper.
WZON-AM reported that Ellen Wilson, who’s also known as Ellen Gunstone, of Bangor was indicted for allegedly stealing the money from Sprague’s Nursery and Garden Center.
In another indictment, 62-year-old Bruce Fowle of Bangor was indicted on a charge of allegedly stealing more than $100,000 over a 10-year period from a local charitable organization.
In a third case, a 44-year-old man was indicted on a charge of allegedly stealing more than $8,000 from a Boy Scout troop in Lincoln.
