Red Claws’ Taylor to coach at D-League All-Star game

Red Claws Coach Mike Taylor and his staff will coach the Futures Team at the NBA Development League All-Star Game when the Prospects and Futures teams meet at Sprint Arena at the NBA All-Star Jam Session at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center on Feb. 15.

Taylor, along with his assistant coaches Tunde Adekola and J.P. Clark, earned the trip to Houston by virtue of the teams’ 17-10 record and winning a head-to-head tiebreaker with the Canton Charge.

The NBA Development League All-Star game, with 20 top NBA D-League prospects, will air live on NBA TV at 3 p.m.

BIATHLON

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Sean Doherty, a 17-year-old from Center Conway, N.H., became the first U.S. biathlete to win three individual medals in a World Championship competition.

Doherty’s silver on Tuesday came in addition to a silver and a gold he won on Friday and Sunday at Obertilliach, Austria.
