YARMOUTH – Andrew Hale, Peter Lajeunesse and Seth Lawrence each scored twice Wednesday to lead Marshwood-Traip Academy to a 7-4 victory against Yarmouth in a schoolboy hockey game at the Travis Roy Arena.

Devon Mitchell had the other goal for the Hawks (6-7).

Kevin Haley had two goals, and Max Watson and Isaak Dearden also scored for Yarmouth (4-7-2).

KENNEBUNK 1, NOBLE-WELLS 0: Ben Cherry scored from Ryan Keefe at 7:26 of overtime as the Rams (4-6) edged the Knights (7-7) at Biddeford.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

WINSLOW 3, YARMOUTH 2: The Black Raiders (4-10-3) scored three unanswered goals and beat Yarmouth (5-11-1) at Winslow.

Ariel Potter scored in the first period to give Yarmouth a 1-0 lead. Jennifer Poulin and Paige Veilleux scored later in the period to give Winslow a 2-1 lead. Jordyn Dorval scored in the second period to give the Black Raiders a two-goal lead.

For Winslow, Reagan Cain, Brennah O’Conell and Brittany Whitaker each had an assist. Jessica Cain made 34 saves.

GORHAM-BONNY EAGLE 6, PORTLAND-DEERING 4: Rachel Litif had two goals and two assists to lead Gorham-Bonny Eagle (7-10) over Portland-Deering (3-12-2) at Portland.

Drew Barry scored twice for Portland-Deering.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 78, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 16: Chase Gendron finished with 15 points, El Tayeb Dahia added 13 and Colby Bate had 12 as the Panthers (6-9) downed the Lions (0-12) at Yarmouth.

Sam Purinton led Greater Portland Christian with eight points.

PORTLAND 64, CHEVERUS 29: Matt Talbot scored 16 points with six rebounds, and the Bulldogs (13-2) got solid contributions from two reserves against the Stags (5-10) at South Portland.

Stephen Alex had 13 points and Cosimo DiDonato added 10 with seven rebounds for Portland, which led 51-18 following an 18-3 run in the third quarter.

Emmanuel Ismail had seven points for Cheverus.

BUCKFIELD 53, SACOPEE VALLEY 39: Tyler Goyette had 25 points and Jared Eastman finished with 10 as the Bucks (7-8) handled the Hawks (0-14) at South Hiram.

Dominic Locke led the Hawks with 16 points, followed by Alex Fenderson with eight and Anthony Haskell with seven.

A.R. GOULD 70, ISLESBORO 20: Zacharia Mohamed scored 25 points and the Bears (9-5) held the Eagles (2-13) to single digits in each quarter at South Portland.

Chris Thomas had 13 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists and five steals, and Sam Adams finished with 11 points for the Bears.

Finn Conte and Forrest Boucher each had seven points for Islesboro.

FOREST HILLS 61, VALLEY 38: Evan Worster had 27 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Tigers (13-2) over Valley (13-3) at Jackman.

Worster also had six blocks and five steals for Forest Hills, which led 21-9 after one quarter.

Derick Ouellette had 15 rebounds, and Bandon Ouellette added 13 points and seven steals.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 49, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 37: Clarissa Jones scored 13 of her game-high 20 points in the first half and the Lions (9-3) opened with a 26-6 run against the Panthers (3-11) at Yarmouth.

Elaine Beech had 14 points for the Lions, who led 34-19 at the half.

Mallory Ianno had 10 points and Chloe Leishman added nine for the Panthers.
