SACO – Nick Bagley and Jake Gross each had a goal and an assist, and Dalton Finley made 22 saves for the shutout Saturday as Scarborough beat Cheverus 5-0 in a schoolboy hockey game.

Scarborough (13-1) led 2-0 after one period, then opened it up with goals from Jack Rousselle and Sean McGovern in the first two minutes of the second.

Garrett McDonald also scored for the Red Storm.

Jason Blier stopped 36 shots for Cheverus (8-4).

YARMOUTH 6, LEAVITT 2: Thomas Lord and Brady Neujahr each scored their first career goals for the Clippers (5-7-2), who scored four times in the second period to pull away from the Hornets (3-9-1) at Auburn.

Walter Conrad collected one goal and two assists, and Neujahr, Connor Lainey and Max Watson each finished with one goal and one assist for Yarmouth.

Nick Allen made 47 saves, and Blayne Arsenault and Kaleb Boulet scored for Leavitt.

FALMOUTH 7, BIDDEFORD 2: Hugh Grygiel scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Yachtsmen (10-2) cruised over the Tigers (5-7-1) at Biddeford.

Kris Samaras and Jack Pike added a goal and two assists apiece for Falmouth, which led 4-0 at the end of the first period.

Nate Crepeau and Wyatt Leblond scored for Biddeford.

CAMDEN HILLS 2, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Jack Orne scored a power-play goal with 2:44 remaining to lift the Windjammers (11-0) over the Capers (5-9-1) at Rockport.

Jack Drinan of Cape Elizabeth started the scoring at 7:16 of the third period, but Stephen Hand evened it 37 seconds later.

Jet Magri stopped 13 shots for the Windjammers. Grant Rusk had 26 saves for the Capers.

GORHAM 4, BRUNSWICK 3: Spence Cowan scored his second goal of the game 2:05 into the third period to give the Rams (7-6-1) a 4-1 lead, and they held on to edge the Dragons (6-7-1) at Gorham.

Tucker Buteau and Blake Babineau also scored for Gorham, which outshot Brunswick 35-16.

Matt Brooks and Cam Heatley had a goal and an assist apiece for the Dragons.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, WESTBROOK 3: Conner Nadeau scored his first varsity goal, the winner, 7:11 into the second period as the Red Riots (2-9) edged the Blue Blazes (2-12) at Portland.

Kyle Halverson added a pair of goals for South Portland, which scored the first four goals and held on.

Westbrook climbed within 4-3 on a goal by Noah Oliver with 5:20 left.

PORTLAND/DEERING 2, KENNEBUNK 1: Chris Eye scored seven seconds in, Zach Luce added a goal 101/2 minutes later and the Bulldogs (7-5) held off the Rams (4-7) at Kennebunk.

Ben Cherry scored for Kennebunk with 18 seconds left in the first period.

Jon Gatti made 23 saves for Portland/Deering, which killed a five-on-three power play in the second period.

GREELY 8, MESSALONSKEE 4: Ted Hart scored three times in the third period as Greely (9-4) outscored the Eagles (11-2) 4-1 to pull away at Winslow.

Mitchell Donovan added a pair of goals for the Rangers.

LAWRENCE 4, HOULTON/HODGDON 0: Tyler Boudreau had two goals as the Bulldogs (6-8) beat the Shiretowners (4-11) at Winslow.

BASKETBALL

HYDE 65, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 35: Kiefer Cundy had 11 points and seven assists, and Wilson MacMillan added 11 points and six assists, leading the Phoenix (12-3) against the Seahawks (2-12) at Trenton.

Warsame Mohamed added 10 points, eight assists and six steals. Talin Rowe and Ryan Cassidy also scored 10 for Hyde.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 60, MORSE 45: John Murray scored 21 points and Ryan Ripley added 13 as the Panthers (14-2) beat Morse (5-11) at Waldoboro.

Ethan Winglass led the Shipbuilders with 12 points.

FOREST HILLS 64, RANGELEY 24: Matt Turner scored 15 points as the Tigers (15-2) beat the Lakers (2-13) at Jackman.

Evan Worster added 14 points for the Tigers.

A.J. Elms had seven points for Rangeley.

WATERVILLE 65, BELFAST 34: Justin Jabar scored 17 points and Jordan Derosby added 16 to lead the Purple Panthers (11-5) over Belfast (7-9) at Waterville.

Chris Hale scored 10 points for the Panthers (11-5).

Ryan Rice scored 11 points to lead Belfast (7-9).

VALLEY 72, PISCATAQUIS COMMUNITY 48: Carrington Miller had a triple-double with 19 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers (14-3) over Piscataquis Community (3-14) at Bingham.

Josh West added 17 points and eight steals for Valley, Collin Miller chipped in 12 points and Dylan Belanger scored 11.

Logan Sargent led the Pirates with 12 points.

NOKOMIS 67, MARANACOOK 49: Andrew Cartright had 24 points as the Warriors (8-8) pulled away from the Black Bears (6-9) at Readfield.

Spencer Hartsgrove added 18 points and Chandler Foss scored 10 for Nokomis.

Cameron Brochu led Maranacook with 16 points.

HYDE 67, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 35: Warsame Mohamed scored 18 points and Mustapha Niang had 12 to help the Phoenix (11-3) down the Seahawks (2-11) at Trenton.

SOUTH PORTLAND 85, NOBLE 63: Tanner Hyland finished with 38 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Red Riots (14-2), who opened on a 21-7 run and cruised past the Knights (4-12) at North Berwick.
