KENTS HILL – Martha Veroneau became Waynflete’s all-time scoring leader while pacing the Flyers to a 69-40 win over Kents Hill in a girls’ basketball game Monday night.

Veroneau scored 29 points to increase her career total to 1,286, surpassing her sister, Margaret, who graduated in 2008 with 1,280 points.

Rhiannan Jackson had nine points, 11 rebounds, six steals and six assists, and Julianna Harwood contributed nine points, 11 rebounds and seven steals for the Flyers (13-3).

Emma Curnin scored 13 points and Sara Grenier had 12 for Kents Hill (4-8).

 

LAKE REGION 59, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Tiana-Jo Carter had a triple-double with 10 points, 10 blocks and 21 rebounds to power the Lakers (15-2) past the Raiders (3-14) at Naples.

Sarah Hancock added 14 points and Sydney Hancock scored 12 for Lake Region.

Skye Dole led Fryeburg with 14 points.

 

HYDE 39, SACOPEE VALLEY 29: Katie Comeaux scored eight points and had 12 steals to lead the Phoenix (15-1) over the Hawks (8-8) at Bath.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

WISCASSET 60, OAK HILL 52: Travis Padilla scored 24 points to lead the Wolverines (10-7) past the Raiders (6-11) at Wiscasset.

Parker Asselin paced Oak Hill with 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Trevor Samson finished with 13 points.

 

HYDE 71, SACOPEE VALLEY 31: Ryan Cassidy scored 16 points as the Phoenix (12-3) downed the Hawks (0-16) at Bath.

Warsame Mohamed added 10 points with five steals, and Talin Rowe had eight points and five steals.

Blake Trueworthy paced Sacopee with eight points.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 63, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 28: Isaac LaCroix notched 27 points as the Guardians (8-8) handled the Lions (0-13) at Portland.

Caleb Gould added 13 points for Seacoast Christian, which led 31-19 at halftime before outscoring the Lions 26-4 in the third quarter.

Sam Purinton had nine points to pace GPCS.

 

BOOTHBAY 49, HALL-DALE 47: Anthony DiMauro scored 20 points to lead the Seahawks (16-1) past the Bulldogs (10-7) at Farmingdale.

John Hepburn added 10 points for Boothbay.

LISBON 54, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 51: Tucker Brannon scored 26 points as the Greyhounds (4-13) edged the Mustangs (6-11) in overtime at Monmouth.

Brandon Goff and Billy Cummings each had 14 points for Monmouth.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

CHEVERUS 7, KENNEBUNK 3: Cameron McLain finished with three goals and two assists, and Liam Fitzpatrick added two goals and two assists to lead the Stags (9-4) past the Rams (4-8) at Portland Ice Arena.

The Stags also got goals from Conor Ryle and Andrew MacGillivray.

Ryan Keefe scored twice for Kennebunk.

 

LEWISTON 4, ST. DOM’S 1: Kyle Lemelin scored a pair of goals and the Blue Devils (10-2-1) held the Saints (9-4-1) to nine shots in a Class A victory at the Colisee.

Lemelin opened the scoring midway through the first period. Tanner Hubbard made it 2-0 in the second period, and Lemelin got his second goal on a deflection just 37 seconds later.

Calvin Stewart notched a power-play goal for St. Dom’s with 5:03 remaining, but Patrick DeBlois clinched the victory just over a minute later.
