Friday’s impending snowstorm has prompted many southern Maine high schools to reschedule events to Thursday.

The regular season for high school basketball teams ends on Saturday. Any games that are postponed on Friday must be made up that day.

“We would prefer everything be done by Friday night,” said Dick Durost, the executive director of the Maine Principals’ Association. “That doesn’t look good. But it looks like we should be able to get everything in by Saturday night.”
