DURHAM, N.H. — A University of New Hampshire spokeswoman says scores of people were arrested following a concert at the Whittemore Center on the Durham campus.

UNH media relations director Erika Mantz says 39 of the 65 people arrested by Durham and UNH police were directly related to the Friday night concert by disc jockey Tiesto. Of the 39, she said 22 were UNH students. Most of the arrests were for underage drinking and unlawful possession of alcohol.

The other arrests were made on surrounding roads and parking lots by state police and liquor enforcement agents, she said, bringing the total number of arrests to 65.

Mantz said that more than 4,000 people attended the concert.

Mantz said arrests were contained to the concert and areas around it.
