The Visionaries documentary series for public television is featuring two Maine conservation organizations in a film that will be shown at SPACE. It also will be shown on Maine Public Broadcasting Network at 10 a.m. March 21 and at 11 a.m. March 23. “Forests and Lakes For People Forever,” the documentary on the Downeast Lakes Land Trust, tells the story of how the people of Grand Lake Stream, a Maine village with a long history of outdoor recreation, are working to conserve natural resources that sustain the local economy and way of life. “Discovering the Natural World,” the Chewonki documentary, highlights school programs at Chewonki. Lessons on Lynx and Martens / 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Wayne

The Kennebec Land Trust is hosting its Lyceum series on Maine mammals, featuring Maine biologists and conservationists as speakers, at the Ladd Recreation Center, 26 Gott Road. Invasive Plant Program / 10 a.m. in Auburn

A meeting will be held to build a volunteer network of invasive plant patrollers who will help build one of the nation’s most formidable volunteer early detection programs for aquatic invaders. Individuals wishing to learn more about Maine’s Invasive Plant Patrol are welcome. Registration is required. No cost.
