WINTHROP — Police say they’ve charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a home invasion in which four people armed with guns forced their way into a 71-year-old Winthrop woman’s home and stole cash and prescription medications.
Christopher Harmon of Arundel is being held at the Kennebec County Jail after being charged Friday with robbery and burglary.
Police say the Winthrop woman was robbed in January when four people dressed in dark clothing barged into her home and searched through cabinets and drawers for drugs. The victim said at least two were carrying guns.
Officials say a 14-year-old boy was also arrested on robbery and burglary charges. He’s been released to the custody of his parents.
Police say more arrests are expected.
