• The Cheverus girls’ softball team will be holding its annual softball clinic April 17 at Cheverus High School. The free clinic is for girls in grades 3-8. For grades 3-5 there will be a clinic from 9-11 a.m. plus a pitching clinic from 11 a.m. to noon. There will be a clinic for grades 6-8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a pitching clinic from 10-11 a.m. To register or for more information, contact Coach Maureen Curran at curren@cheverus.org or 774-6238. The first 60 registrants will receive a free T-shirt. If you would like to receive pitching instruction, let Coach Curran know in advance.

• Maine Field Hockey Academy/Maine Majestix Spring Skills Academy will hold two six-week clinics at Thomas College in Waterville beginning Thursday, April 4. The times are as follows: U-12, 4 to 5:30 p.m.; U-14, 5:30 to 7 p.m.; U-19, 8:30 to 10 p.m. The second session will begin May 16. The cost is $95. There will also be an overnight camp July 14-19 and a day camp July 22-26.
