Nick Bagley, Scarborough, senior, shortstop: Bagley moves to shortstop after playing second base last season. He ranked second on the team with a .360 batting average and led the Red Storm with 18 hits. He ranked second with 15 RBI.

Adam Bailey, York, senior, pitcher/first base: The 6-foot-7 Bailey will be the Wildcats’ No. 1 pitcher. He also will be counted on for his hitting and strong defensive play.

Zach Bean, Westbrook, senior, pitcher:
Bean had a 3-1 record with a 0.88 ERA. He was an all-SMAA Cumberland County selection. He’s added a pitch to his repertoire, which should make him even more effective. He’ll also play first base.

Matt Brenner, Marshwood, senior, catcher:
Brenner starts his fourth season behind the plate. His experience will come in handy for the team’s young staff. He hit .375 last season. 

Ryan Camire, Sanford, senior, pitcher/outfield:
One of the top pitchers in the SMAA, Camire finished with a 4-2 record and a 0.99 ERA. He fanned 35 batters in 491⁄3 innings and led Sanford in hitting with a .436 batting average.

Calvin Cooper, Yarmouth, senior, catcher:
Cooper was a key part of the offense for the Clippers last season,  batting .422 with nine RBI.

Will D’Agostino, Falmouth, junior, shortstop:
D’Agostino has impressed with his range and arm. He batted .308 and was second on the team with 16 RBI. He was selected to the Western Maine Conference all-team.

Thomas Fortier, Falmouth, senior, pitcher/centerfield: Fortier was the winning pitcher in last year’s Class B state championship game. He had a 6-1 record with a 1.37 ERA. Fortier has added some velocity and will be the team’s go-to guy again. 

Joey Francoeur, Windham, senior, pitcher/first baseman:
A very versatile player, Francoeur will be a starter and reliever. He had a 3-1 record with a 1.38 ERA. He had the winning hit against Biddeford in the tourney quarterfinals.

Jeff Gelinas, Thornton Academy, senior, pitcher/first base:
Gelinas begins his fourth season as a varsity pitcher. He had a 2-2 record with a 1.46 ERA. He struck out 44 batters in 381⁄3 innings. He had an outstanding summer pitching American Legion and in the Northeast Regionals.
 
Ben Greenberg, Scarborough, junior, pitcher/third base:
Greenberg had a 3-1 record  with a 3.73 ERA last season. The hard-throwing right-hander struck out 28 batters in 202⁄3 innings with opponents batting only .194 against him. He batted over .300.

Tom Hazelton, Bonny Eagle, senior, pitcher:
The No. 1 pitcher for the Scots again, Hazelton had a 4-4 record with a 2.19 ERA last season. He struck out 60 in 48 innings with opponents batting .197. Hazelton batted .279.

Kyle Heath, Westbrook, junior, catcher: Heath batted .314 last year. He is strong defensively with an accurate arm. Heath was named all-SMAA catcher for Cumberland County last season. He ranks as one of the top catchers in the state.

Keenan Lowe, Westbrook, senior, pitcher: Lowe went 3-2 with a 0.42 ERA. He was named to the all-SMAA Cumberland County team. Lowe, a right-hander, has improved all of his pitches. He will play right field when he’s not pitching.

Kyle Nielsen, Gray-New Gloucester, senior, pitcher/outfield:
Nielsen pitched in most of the big games last season, and will likely get the same assignment this spring.

Jonah Normandeau, Greely, senior, pitcher/DH: He had a 5-0 record and a 0.48 ERA last season. Normandeau batted .408 with 18 RBI. He was a first-team all-conference selection and won the Rupert Johnson Award as the WMC’s Class B Player of the Year.

Mitchell Powers, Cheverus, junior, pitcher/outfield:
Powers pitched only nine innings for the Stags last season because of elbow surgery, but he rebounded with a strong summer for Cheverus’ Legion team, which was second in the Northeast Regional. He was 1-0 last year for the Stags and 7-0 in Legion action. Powers should help the offense with his hitting.
 
Chris Robicheaw, Cape Elizabeth, senior, shortstop/pitcher:
Robicheaw is a three-year starter who batted .310 last season. He will hit in the middle of the lineup. The Capers will bring him in as a relief pitcher.

Tim Rovnak, Portland, senior, outfield:
Rovnak played shortstop last year but will play center field, where his speed is an asset tracking balls down. A strong leadoff hitter, Rovnak batted .289 last season, a figure that should improve this season.   

Nate Smart, Portland, senior, pitcher, outfield:
Smart had a 4-3 record with a 2.61 ERA last season. Smart pitched against many of the top teams, striking out 48 in 48 innings. The Bulldogs will also count on his bat.

Chris Tinsman, Cheverus, junior, catcher:
Tinsman did a good job handling a talented pitching staff last season. That experience should help with a younger staff this season. He batted .224 with power as eight of his 11 hits were for extra bases.

Bailey Train, Greely, junior, pitcher/DH: Train has a 4-1 pitching mark with a 1.71 ERA. He struck out 43 in 28 innings. He batted .400 with 17 RBI. He was named to the all-Western Maine Conference team at utility.   

Nick Volger, Portland, senior, shortstop: Volger is a valuable utility guy who will concentrate on one position this season. In the past he has caught, played second and spent time in the outfield. He batted .273 a year ago.

Nick Whitten, South Portland, senior, center field: Whitten was the second-leading hitter for the Red Riots with a .340 average last season and led with three triples. He was a first team all-SMAA Cumberland County selection.

Patrick Wilson, Biddeford, senior, pitcher/shortstop:
Wilson had a 3-4 record and a 2.81 ERA last season. He struck out 35 in 37 innings. He batted .264 with three doubles.
