YORK — York police are searching for a man who robbed the Bangor Savings Bank at gunpoint at 2 Moulton St. in York Saturday morning.
The robbery was reported at about 10:30 a.m. The man was described as a white male in his 20s about 5-foot-3 to 5, 140 pounds and wearing a dark colored jacket with a grayish hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and multicolored sneakers. He fled on foot.
York Police did not disclose how much money was taken.
Police have asked people who may have spotted anyone fitting the description near York Street and Moulton Lane or a vehicle stopped in the area to call York Police at 363-4444. An anonymous tip line is available at 439-1199 or by email at www.seacoastcrimestoppers.org.
Reward money is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction, police said.
