AUBURN — Auburn police are investigating a pair of robberies at city pizza shops just minutes apart that appear to be related.
Police say a man walked into Heathco’s at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday and demanded money. The suspect fled empty-handed when another customer entered.
Less than 15 minutes later, a man fitting the description of the Heathco’s suspect entered a Domino’s store and demanded money. He fled with a small amount of cash.
No gun was displayed at Heathco’s, but workers at Domino’s say they saw what may have been the butt of a handgun in the suspect’s pocket.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5-feet, 6 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing a brown winter knit hat, green jacket, hoodie, jeans and sneakers.
