FRYEBURG – Walker Foehl scored five goals Tuesday to lead Waynflete to a 15-3 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.

Sadie Cole and Leigh Fernandez added three goals each for the Flyers (3-0).

Kendra Fox, Mackenzie Hill and Kyra Hunsicker scored for Fryeburg (1-2).

 

GORHAM 12, BONNY EAGLE 5: Kalie St. Germain scored four goals to power the Rams (3-1) past the Scots (1-3) at Gorham.

Kate Tucker contributed two goals and an assist, and Regan Emerson had a pair of goals for Gorham.

Hannah Litis scored twice for Bonny Eagle.

Maddy Hamblen stopped 20 shots for the Rams.

 

KENNEBUNK 16, WESTBROOK 5: Rose Bryant had five goals and two assists to lead the Rams (3-1) over the Blue Blazes (1-3) at Kennebunk.

Ali Truman added four goals and Hannah Snow finished with two for the Rams.

Sarah Wagner led Westbrook with two goals.

MESSALONSKEE 8, MT. ARARAT 5: Kristy Bernatchez scored five goals to lead Messalonskee (3-0) past Mt. Ararat (2-2) at Oakland.

Kristen Keith added two goals and Lilly DeLisle also scored for Messalonskee.

Sierra Gilley scored twice for Mt. Ararat.

 

MARSHWOOD 14, SANFORD 3: Janay Wright scored five goals as the Hawks (3-1) cruised past the Spartans (0-4) at Sanford.

Lindsey Poirier had three goals and Alli Schoff added two for Marshwood.

SOFTBALL

OCEANSIDE 14, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Brooke Dugan went 4 for 5 with a home run, four RBI and five runs as the Mariners (7-0) cruised past the Eagles (4-2) at Newcastle.

Kennadi Grover added four hits, four RBI and a run, and Rachel Frye struck out 10 in a four-hitter for Oceanside.

Gretchen Konitzky had a pair of hits for Lincoln.

BELFAST 3, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: The Lions (4-1) scored the only runs of the game in the 11th inning to beat the Panthers (4-2) at Waldoboro.

Ashley Littlefield of Belfast scattered 11 hits and struck out 12.

Mariah Sturgis had two RBI and Brenn Cummings knocked in a run.

Desiree Benner struck out 16 and Amanda Hendrickson had five singles for Medomak Valley.

 

CONY 19, MT. ARARAT 0: Sonja Morse drove in four runs and scored three while hitting for the cycle as the Rams (6-0) downed the Eagles (2-4) in five innings at Topsham.

Arika Brochu pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and also had three hits for Cony.

 

ERSKINE ACADEMY 10, BRUNSWICK 0: Alison Gauvin had two doubles and Erskine Academy (3-3) turned a triple play to sink Brunswick (0-6) at South China.

Erskine turned the triple play in the first inning. With runners at first and second, first baseman Emma Robertson caught a line drive, stepped on first and threw to second to force out both runners.

Kaitlyn Sutter had a single and a double for Erskine.

WINSLOW 4, MARANACOOK 2: Jessica Pare hit a two-run double with one out in the seventh inning to lift Winslow (5-2) over Maranacook (2-4) at Readfield.

The score was 2-2 in the seventh before the Raiders rallied. Morgan Clark led off with a single and advanced on a single by Hillary Libby. With runners on first and second, Brooke Haskell popped up and the infield fly rule was called.

But the ball fell and the runners advanced to second and third. Pare followed with a double to the fence in left-center.

Pare had two doubles and two RBI for Winslow.
