MEDFORD, Mass. – Julia Geaumont allowed one run on four hits as Bowdoin advanced to the NESCAC softball championship round by beating Middlebury 5-1 in its second elimination game Saturday.

Trailing 1-0, Bowdoin scored three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to beat Middlebury. Casey Correa doubled with one out in the fifth and went to third on a wind-aided double by Siena Mitman.

An out later, Toni DaCampo singled home both runs. Gen Barlow followed with a single up the middle, scoring DaCampo for a 3-1 lead.

Correa then drove a two-run double off the fence in left, giving the Polar Bears a 5-1 lead.
