AUGUSTA — The Maine Sports Hall of Fame has 10 new members.

A field headed by former NASCAR driver Ricky Craven and former Secretary of Defense William Cohen, who was a standout athlete at Bangor High School, was inducted into the hall during an awards banquet Sunday at the Augusta Civic Center.

Also inducted were Dr. Douglas Brown, former head physician for the U.S. women’s national soccer team; field hockey coach Paula Doughty; University of Southern Maine women’s basketball coach Gary Fifield; power-lifting and body-building champion John Robinson; Portland Boxing Club owner Robert Russo; former high school girls’ basketball coach Paul Vachon; former University of Maine football standout Manchester Wheeler; and high school football coach John Wolfgram.
