PORTLAND — Two Brunswick brothers and their father are in Cumberland County Jail on charges of beating a Portland man with a metal pipe.
Police were called to 98 India St. at 7:45 p.m. Sunday by a 50-year-old man with serious head and face injuries.
The man told police that three men he knew came to his apartment, he let them in and they attacked him.
Police contacted Brunswick police. who located the men and arrested them.
Police charged Justin Haycock, 29, Joshua Haycock, 31, and Walter Haycock, 62, with elevated aggravated assault. All are being held in jail pending a court appearance later this week.
Justin and Walter Haycock are each being held on $25,000 bail and Joshua is being held without bail.
The victim remains in the hospital.
Police said they believe they know the reason for the attack but would not disclose it because of the ongoing investigation.
