The Portland Blood Donation Center, 524 Forest Ave., is open noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston is open noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.

Platelet donors also are needed. Donations are by appointment. For information call 775-2114 or (800) 272-2114.

To make an appointment to donate blood, call (800) 733-2767 or log onto redcrossblood.org. Several incentives are being offered in May.
